Kyle Smith
Senior Copywriter
Kyle joined the Fund Raising Strategies team in 2014 after working as a Legislative Correspondent for U.S. Representative Raul Labrador of Idaho.
In that capacity, Kyle wrote letters on Mr. Labrador’s behalf to thousands of constituents on issues ranging from the economy to bureaucratic corruption. Kyle’s letters helped his readers feel like their conversation with their representative was one-on-one — an essential element for success in direct mail.
Since coming to Fund Raising Strategies, Kyle has raised money for various nonprofits, including those benefiting our nation’s veterans, animal rescues, politically conservative advocacy groups, Super PACs, museums, and legal defense funds.
Kyle’s interests in writing and politics began with his family’s lively discussions at the dinner table. Those discussions nurtured a desire in him to pursue an undergraduate degree in Political Science at Brigham Young University-Idaho in Rexburg and a master’s degree at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
A native of Montgomery, Alabama, his passions include studying the Civil War, reading biographies of political leaders, and attending sporting events with friends and family.
He lives in Kensington, Maryland.
