For 20+ years, Bill has managed our corporate finances while monitoring and strengthening the financial health of our clients. Encouraging new ideas to grow revenues and reduce costs, his goal is to optimize the net earnings of our clients’ direct mail and online fundraising programs. Bill is especially pleased that we lead the industry by providing every client to-the-penny accounting... an annual projection of results... a scorecard of our performance... the detailed data that auditors need to prepare IRS Form 990s... and a rigorous analysis that recommends Program, Management, and Fundraising cost allocations.
In earlier management positions, Bill improved the profitability and effectiveness of businesses and government. He was Vice President of Operations and Corporate Development at Nomadic Display — the world's leading maker of portable exhibits for trade shows. At American Management Systems, he directed projects for top Defense firms and the U.S. Navy. As a Navy Supply Corps Officer, he managed the finances and supplies of two warships and served in Viet Nam’s Me Kong Delta.
Bill earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Purdue University and his Master of Business Administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He enjoys doing yardwork, cheers the Washington Nationals, and is an avid reader — from history and religion to Michael Connelly and Charles Dickens.
Bill and his wife, Kay, live in Annandale, Virginia, and travel frequently to visit their two daughters, Emily and Amanda (but mostly their granddaughter, Persephone).
