Dan brings a wealth of experience to Fund Raising Strategies, having written effective, passionate messaging for a wide variety of businesses and charities in both Europe and the United States.
A native of Birmingham, England, Dan moved to the United States in 2005, the year he graduated from the University of Nottingham. He spent two years completing his Master’s Degree in History at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, during which time he taught a variety of classes to undergraduate students as a Teaching Assistant.
In 2007 Dan moved to Washington, DC, and began working for the Leadership Institute, a leading educational foundation, where he was responsible for grassroots and Congressional outreach.
Following a brief stint working for a transatlantic trade association, Dan arrived at Fund Raising Strategies in 2010 armed with a fierce drive to help charities turn their dreams into reality. His commitment to smaller, better government and low taxation lead him to produce excellent copy which generates funds for liberty-loving candidates and causes, while his multi award-winning fund appeals for animal rescues, veteran support groups and museums have raised tens of millions of dollars. As a communications specialist, Dan has lectured to students across the United States on such topics as effective messaging, direct marketing, and political history. Widely published, his writings have appeared in the Washington Times, the Daily Caller, the American Thinker, Menzies House, and Freedom Today.
