Stuart Mac Lean has been in the direct marketing field since 1982. He joined FRS in 1983, and after several years of freelance copywriting and employment by Phillips Publishing, rejoined FRS in 1992. During his career in direct marketing, Stuart has had the opportunity to create direct marketing campaigns for a wide variety of causes including the National D-Day Memorial, The Reagan Presidential Library, George Washington’s Mount Vernon, Pacific Aviation Museum – Pearl Harbor, Castleton Ranch Horse Rescue, AdoptaPlatoon troop support, and the Gettysburg Foundation.
Stuart’s work has been featured in Fundraising Success magazine, and he has won the International ECHO award from the Direct Marketing Association, the POLLIE award from the American Association of Political Consultants, the MAXI (Marketing Award for eXcellence and Innovation) from the Direct Marketing Association of Washington, and the GOLD award from Fundraising Success.
Stuart has a degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin. He and his wife, Debbie, live in Loudoun County, Virginia. They have three children, Jonathan, Stephen, and Kelly.
